James Booth – Director of Training

James Booth is the Director of Training for Coastal Virginia Training Academy. “Jamie” is a United States Army veteran who has worked in the Private Security, Private Investigations, and Corrections field for over 3 decades. He graduated as the top cadet of his Academy class at the Hampton Roads Academy of Criminal Justice and is a registered Private Investigator, an Armed Security Officer, and Personal Protection Agent. Jamie also holds Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services Certifications as a General Instructor, Firearms Instructor, NRA Law Enforcement Patrol Rifle Instructor and previously as a Compliance and Bail Enforcement Agent. Jamie has worked and supervised in the fields of study he teaches. He has taught thousands of students equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed to be professionals in the Private Security and related fields.

Cori Davis – Instructor

Cori Davis has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Delaware State University, she is former law enforcement and is currently a Compliance Coordinator at Top Guard Security with 7 years security experience. She has used this experience in both law enforcement and security to instruct students in Unarmed DCJS Training. She has recently joined our Coastal Virginia Training Academy Instructor Staff, training officers to be certified in DCJS required Unarmed Training.

Jennifer Myers – Instructor

Jennifer Myers is a highly qualified instructor with more than ten years of professional experience in surveillance operations, criminal and civil investigations, and security operations training. From 2020 through 2025, she has served as a trainer supporting government contracts, by developing and delivering classroom and field instruction in surveillance operations. A DCJS certified Instructor holding a secret security clearance, Jennifer is recognized for her professionalism, instructional excellence, and commitment to advancing the standards of investigative and security operations training within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
